Serving The DG Family: Foundations Help Employees in Times of Need

Dollar General Employee Assistance Foundation

Life can be filled with ups and downs. Sometimes we find ourselves in difficult situations beyond our control. When the unexpected happens, the Dollar

General Employee Assistance Foundation (DGEAF) is there to help. Thanks to the generous donations from our co-workers, the Foundation can assist employees who are in critical need situations. To learn more about the DGEAF guidelines and to access applications, please visit DGme and click on Employee Assistance Foundation located in the assistance box or call 615-855-5188.

Turner Family Scholarships

Personal development has long been a core value among Dollar General employees. In 1999, Cal Turner Sr., co-founder of Dollar General, established the Turner Family Scholarship Fund to benefit his extended family—Dollar General employees.

The scholarship is for Dollar General employees only and can be used for GED/adult basic education and personal coursework. Applications must be received at least six weeks prior to the beginning of the course. The deadlines are March 15, July 3 and Nov. 3.
